How to Turn Off Automatic Standby (SoundBase 220, 320, 420, 555 & 580)
Your ZVOX speaker has an Automatic Standby feature that turns it off after 10 to 20 minutes of no audio or a very low audio signal from your TV. Some TVs send a weak signal or have their audio output set too low, which can cause the speaker to turn off randomly even when it seems to be working fine. If this is happening, you can disable Automatic Standby by following the steps below.
- Flick the power switch on the rear of the speaker to OFF.
- With your other hand, press and hold the MUTE button on the front of the speaker (not the one on the remote).
- While continuing to hold the MUTE button, flick the power switch back to ON.
- Look at the front display. It should read “noAS”, confirming that Automatic Standby is now off.
Note: With Automatic Standby off, the speaker will no longer turn off on its own. You’ll need to use your ZVOX remote, or a remote programmed to control your speaker, to turn it off.
To turn Automatic Standby back on, simply repeat these steps. The display will read “AS” when the feature is enabled.
