Fire TV Remote Programming Instructions (Fire TV Stick and Fire TV)

Your Fire TV remote can control the volume, mute, and power on your ZVOX using the Equipment Control feature. These steps are pretty much the same whether you have a Fire TV Stick or a Fire TV smart TV, although menu names may vary slightly depending on your model.


Step 1: Turn On HDMI CEC Device Control

  1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV.
  2. Select Display & Sounds.
  3. Turn HDMI CEC Device Control On.


Step 2: Add Your ZVOX as a Soundbar

Use your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick remote for these steps. Your Fire TV may detect your ZVOX automatically and walk you through the setup on screen. If that happens, just follow the prompts using your Fire TV remote. If not, you can add it manually:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Equipment Control.
  3. Select Manage Equipment.
  4. Select Add Equipment, then choose Soundbar.
  5. Search for ZVOX and follow the onscreen prompts.


Step 3: Test Your Remote

Point your Fire TV remote at the ZVOX and test the volume up, volume down, mute, and power buttons. If they all work, you are all set.
