DirecTV RC65, RC66, and RC66RX Remote Setup

These instructions will set up your DirecTV RC65, RC66, RC66RX, or other DirecTV remote with an AV1 slider so the volume buttons control your ZVOX while the remote still turns your TV on and off. Setup takes two parts: setting your ZVOX to PS-3, then programming the DirecTV remote with code 10812.


Part 1: Set Your ZVOX to PS-3

Find your model below and follow the steps for that group.

Models With an Other Settings Button on the ZVOX Remote

Models: AV155, AV157, AV200 (version 2), AV201, AV203, AV257, AV355, AV357, AV835, AV855, SB380 (version 2), SB500 (version 2), SB700 (version 2)

  1. Turn on your ZVOX.
  2. Press and hold the Other Settings button on the ZVOX remote for about 5 seconds, until “PS-0” (or another PS number) starts flashing on the display.
  3. Release the button and use the Volume Up or Volume Down button on the ZVOX remote to select “PS-3”.
  4. Wait for the display to stop flashing.


Original SB Series Soundbars

Models: SB380 (version 1), SB400, SB500 (version 1), SB700 (version 1), AV200 (version 1), AV205

  1. Turn on your ZVOX.
  2. Press and hold the Power and Volume Up (+) buttons on the right end of the speaker (not the remote) until “PS” appears on the display.
  3. Release the buttons, then press and release the Volume Up (+) button on the speaker until you see “PS-3”.
  4. Wait for the display to disappear.


SoundBase Models

Models: SoundBase 220, 320, 330, 350, 420, 440, 450, 555, 570, 580, 670, 770

  1. Turn on your ZVOX.
  2. Press and hold the Power/Mute and Volume Up (+) buttons on the front of the speaker (not the remote) until “PS” appears on the display.
  3. Release the buttons, then press and release the Volume Up (+) button on the speaker until you see “PS-3”.
  4. Wait for the display to disappear.

Note: Selecting PS-3 will erase any remote commands your ZVOX previously learned. Your ZVOX can use a PS setting or a learned remote, but not both at the same time.



Part 2: Program the DirecTV Remote

  1. Move the slider at the top of the DirecTV remote to the AV1 position.
  2. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT buttons until the light above AV1 blinks twice.
  3. Enter 10812. The AV1 light will blink twice.
  4. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT buttons again until the light above AV1 blinks twice.
  5. Enter 993, then press SELECT.
  6. Move the slider back to the left, to the DIRECTV position.

Your DirecTV remote will now turn your TV on and off, and the volume buttons will control your ZVOX.

Note: If the volume buttons aren’t controlling your ZVOX, check that the ZVOX is still on PS-3, then repeat Part 2. Newer DirecTV remotes without a slider, like the RC70, use a different setup. Search our support page for your remote’s model number.
