Digital to Analog Audio Converter

If your TV only has a digital audio output and you need an analog connection to your ZVOX, a digital to analog audio converter will bridge the two. It takes the digital signal from the TV and converts it to a standard analog output that any ZVOX with an analog input can use.


The converter linked below is compatible with both optical TOSLINK digital audio outputs and coax SPDIF digital audio outputs.


This is most often needed with legacy models such as the 215, 325, 425, 430, 525, 550, and 575, which have an analog input but no optical input.


Note: If your TV has an HDMI jack labeled ARC or eARC, a better option is an HDMI ARC audio extractor with an analog output, either RCA jacks or a 3.5mm jack.

Setup Instructions

  1. Connect the digital output on your TV to the matching input on the converter. This will be either an optical TOSLINK cable or a coax SPDIF cable depending on which output your TV has.
  2. Set the switch on the converter to match the connection you are using, either Optical or Coax. The converter will not pass audio if the switch is set to the wrong input.
  3. Connect the analog output on the converter to the analog input on your ZVOX.
  4. Plug the converter's power cable into a wall outlet.
