AccuVoice is a patented technology that lifts voices out of soundtracks to make them clear and understandable. Unlike traditional dialogue enhancing technology that makes everything louder, AccuVoice intelligently analyzes your TV's audio stream and separates voice components (dialogue and speech) from non-voice components (music, sound effects, background noise). It then reduces background sounds while boosting only the dialogue, so you can hear every word clearly without blasting the parts that were already too loud. After isolating the dialogue, the technology specifically targets consonant frequencies by boosting the mid-to-high frequencies where consonants are most prominent. AccuVoice also applies intelligent compression that raises the volume of quiet sounds while lowering the volume of loud sounds—this is particularly helpful when one actor is whispering and another is yelling, ensuring all dialogue remains clearly audible at consistent levels.
SuperVoice is a new layer of dialogue enhancement that the user can add to the existing AccuVoice modes. This is accomplished by pressing and holding the AccuVoice button for about 3 seconds. Each AccuVoice mode is now indicated by "SUP" or "SP" on the display. SuperVoice adds more separation between voices and surround/left and right audio signals. SuperVoice also adds another layer of compression and leveling that further raises low-level voice while clamping down or lowering high-volume speech. This makes dialogue stand out even more than with the normal AccuVoice modes.
Some ZVOX speakers feature both AccuVoice and SuperVoice technology for maximum dialogue clarity.
