Remote Control Presets are special configuration options that allow many ZVOX speakers to respond to infrared remote control commands from different brands. These settings essentially teach your ZVOX speaker to "understand" and respond to remote controls from various manufacturers.

PS Settings 1-6:

The first six PS settings configure your ZVOX speaker to respond to remote control commands from different brands:

  • PS 1: Sony remotes
  • PS 2: LG remotes
  • PS 3: Samsung remotes
  • PS 4: VIZIO remotes
  • PS 5: Panasonic remotes (Note: On AV835 and AV855, this was changed to TCL)
  • PS 6: Marantz remotes (Note: On AV835 and AV855, this was changed to Hisense) (This setting is not available on many legacy products)

How This Works

When you set your ZVOX to a PS setting (like PS-1 for Sony), it will respond to infrared commands from many of that brand's remotes, including TV remotes, soundbar remotes, and universal remotes programmed for that brand. Not every remote from a brand will work, but many will.

How to Access PS Settings

For Models that come with a remote that has an Other Settings button.

Compatible Models: AV200 (ver 2), AV201, AV155, AV157, AV203, AV257, AV835, AV855, AV357, AV355, SB380 (ver 2), SB500 (ver 2), SB700 (ver 2)

  1. Turn on your ZVOX Speaker.
  2. Press and hold the Other Settings button until you see "PS-0" (or PS-another number) flashing on the ZVOX display.
  3. Use the Volume Up button to navigate to your desired PS setting (PS-1 through PS-6).
  4. Wait for the display to stop flashing.

For Models with One AccuVoice Level or Dialogue Emphasis

Compatible Models: AV200 (ver 1), SB380 (ver 1), SB400, SB500 (ver 1), SB700 (ver 1) (single AccuVoice level versions), Soundbase models.

  1. Turn on your ZVOX Speaker.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold:
    • For AccuVoice TV Speaker or Soundbar models: POWER and VOLUME UP (+) buttons (on the right end cap of the speaker).
    • For Soundbase models: Power/Mute and Volume UP (+) buttons (located on the front bottom edge of the speaker cabinet).
  3. Hold until you see "PS-0" (or PS-another number) flashing on the ZVOX display.
  4. Use the Volume Up button (on the speaker, not the remote) to navigate to your desired PS setting (PS-1 through PS-6).
  5. Wait for the display to stop flashing.

Note: ZVOX speakers can use either PS Settings 1-6 OR the built-in IR learning feature, but not both simultaneously. Choose the method that works best for your remote.

Note: The following current ZVOX models do not have this feature: AV100, AV102, AV110, AV120, and the AV455.
